I don’t really like the word spectrum.
There are the three reasons for my dislike of this word that I can articulate (and several more that I can’t quite articulate at the moment).

My offline life is really full at the moment. I’m juggling a lot of things while trying to manage a complete lack of spoons. I’m still sliding down to burn out, and I’m accepting the real possibility that I might not be able to stop that slide.
I hear a lot of parents say that they had to give up on their dreams and expectations for their children. It’s not always parents of autistic children. Sometimes, it’s parents of children without any disabilities, but it does seem to be a recurring theme in communities where parents of autistic children gather.Details
